Role: Infrastructure Engineer Location: NJ Duration: 3 - 6 months The client requires an on-site person to be available to participate in meetings, projects, and workshops during the business hours EST. 50% Lead day to day support operations of a global delivery organization 10% Coordinate interactions between development & operations teams 10% Focal point for Problem, Incident, and Change Management 20% Integrate applications into environment 10% Proactive initiative to identify new tools to enhance business environment Specialized/Practical Knowledge: • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 • MCSE or relevant certification • Previous work in a SCOM development/implementation role • Experience with Server Deployment packages (Bladelogic) • PowerShell scripting capabilities (VB Scripting, Jscript, etc). • Turning management packs to ensure only exceptions are reported. • Provide consultation about the root cause and resolution for the alerts reported • Work with other support teams to explore automation opportunities. • Promote the use of the SCOM tool through the various support teams. • Write scripts (or write specifications) for any necessary custom rules. • Active Directory and core Microsoft infrastructure technologies • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) • Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 • Previous work in a Support environment • Exposure to the Engyro Remedy connector tools Desirable Skills: Windows scripting capabilities (VB Scripting, Jscript, etc).
