*Location: Allentown, PA* *Duration: 6 - 12 Months* Position Summary: This position is responsible for various stages and types of carrier development and production support of business systems from specification interpretation and requirements definition to quality assurance and problem resolution. A major part of this position is to provide a proactive interface between the internal technical staff and the internal or external client (operations or the carrier) to ensure effective definition and delivery of business applications. Essential Functions: Provides life cycle testing/certification of new products, system enhancements, modifications, system upgrades, system implementation and code fixes. Actively develops test plans and test matrices and manages the execution of them through QA. Reviews and understands requirements to garner testing scenarios and expected results. Provides Quality Assurance Analyst with transactions and data to execute test plans Uses tools to verify test plan and expected results Compares results of tests with expectations. Identifies and documents defects in defect repository Reviews test output with carrier when necessary. Manually validates calculations. Participates in business requirement review sessions. Supplies carriers with support on inquiries. Identifies with Infrastructure projects and supplies support for their affect on carrier assigned. Researches, evaluates, and analyzes data and work flow processes to develop business requirements and/or present recommendations on process improvements, new project requests and production support tickets for both internal and external clients. Serves as a system and industry resource for operations, development, and testing. Assists in production support by resolving system discrepancies and/or results. Provides proper training to carrier staff relative to end-user applications and to operational staff as part of project migration to production. Adheres to policies and procedures within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Maintains a client service approach.
