Coordinates database changes and tests. This is a Senior PeopleSoft Application and Database Administrator will provide administrative and technical support for PeopleSoft HRMS, Payroll, eModules, Data Conversion and Performance Management. Additional responsibilities include the installation of Oracle and PeopleSoft software, patches, trouble-shooting problems, Performance Tuning, Software Configuration, Capacity Planning, Architecture and Migrations. This individual will support the DC government’s PeopleSoft applications including Application Server, Process Scheduler server, Web Server and oracle databases. Candidate must have 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting PeopleSoft HRMS, Payroll, Time and labor, eModules, data conversion and performance management modules. Candidate must possess strong background in Oracle 10g database administration specifically RAC, performance tuning and backup and recovery using RMAN. Candidate must be able to support Ariba Procurement, Seebeyond Integration, Mercury Quality Center and PVCS databases in a high available environment. Prior knowledge of Government systems is desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience with troubleshooting problems; documenting and reporting back after corrective measures have been taken. Behavior Characteristics: Good communication and presentation skills desirable. Independent and self starter in the realm of trouble shooting. Oracle Database administration, backup and recovery and performance tuning DBA using data dictionaries, models, perf. tuning, DB Changes & tests. Oracle Database administration with version 10G and RAC PeopleSoft admin & recent implementation on ver. 8.8 and higher. Pref v9.0 Experience with PeopleSoft 8.8 along with Peopletools 8.46 Peopletools upgrade experience to version 9.0 to higher Experience implementing eRecruit PeopleSoft implementations with installation/configuration, on IBM pSeries Capacity planning for PeopleSoft HR/ Payroll system to support 50k users. Must be able to support PeopleSoft application in a HA Architecture. Unix shell scripting to automate maintenance tasks Experience with Ariba, Seebeyond, eBusiness suite in HA architecture Support of Mercury Quality center / Test Director application databases.
