Develop and unit test automated test scripts using performance test tools. Conducts a wide range of system performance tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and defined nonfunctional requirements. Executes tests according to established plans and scripts; documents problems in tracking tool or similar; and retests software fixes to ensure problems are resolved. Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of performance test strategies. Develop/enhance performance workload distribution test models as per production transaction mix. Simulate number of concurrent users for load scenarios to determine response times and bottlenecks. Monitor resources and collect metrics during the tests in order to determine the impact of load/stress testing on the infrastructure. Identify and document bottlenecks or delays. Communicate test results and collaborate with other teams to identify issues needing more analysis and specialized expertise. Responsible for understanding requirements, developing test plans, strong knowledge in performance testing life cycle, writing test cases and executing test cases (GUI and Back End/ DB), understanding of the data models, reporting to the test manager.
