*Data Migration Technical Specialist* Location: St. Louis, MO (locals preferred) Length: 12 months+ Rates : open *NOTE:* *You must be willing to provide travel for possible second in person interview. * · The day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of this position will be developing complex data mining queries in a relational database system (IBM DB2 - Windows) · Building web reports using NET.DATA and HTML (viewed in Internet Explorer (IE) so an understanding of HTML in IE is important) · Performing data migrations where flat files (usually Excel) will be handed off to load into a database, data transformation using T-SQL, and data extraction using T-SQL. · Client uses no tools outside of T-SQL or Excel for manipulating data. · This is a very technical position and will required significant SQL programming skills and data mining abilities. · All building and transforming will occur in an intermediate database with an in-house built ASP interface. There will be little analytical work in this position as the work will be done within the parameters of the existing systems and processes. *The client really in needs a technician versus an analyst.* *Key Skills:* *Strong T-SQL and SQL* Data mining Data migration Data extraction—ETL Understand HTML Flat files Internet Explorer/web browser Exposure to SAP—may validate specific data loads within SAP.
