Description: OOMs 394OP - ADSL POST MERGER PLAN Milestones: Define/design the overall conversion tactics and strategy to migrate data across the program.Develop detailed ETL project plans, conversion/transformation specifications and data mappings based on requirements. design, develop, unit test, and implement of conversion tools/utilities or routines including data quality validation processes. Job Description: (What will the contractor do on that project?) Data Conversion Manager responsibilities will include the day to day management and monitoring of the Data Conversion staff efforts and coordination of data conversion activities to ensure that project goals are achieved. Management and escalation of system, people and process gaps and issues as related to the Data conversion activities. Responsibilities include: - Developing the project plan and for execution of the plan; - Maintenance of and reporting against Data Conversion and overarching project plan to the project Management Team; - Define/design the overall conversion tactics and strategy to migrate data across the program; - Hands-on development role in the construction of the release plan and the conversion plan; - Ensuring the conversions tools and techniques are documented, sourced, tested and implemented; - Will be hands on in developing and testing the data migration processes, resolving issues and leading the "Go-Live" cutover tasks; - Set standards for the use of data fields, data field definitions and data dictionary within the program; - Work with analysts and if required, end users, to understand and document state of data and level of effort to migrate data; - Develop detailed ETL project plans, conversion/transformation specifications and data mappings based on requirements; - Ensuring efficient transform, extract, load of data sets, and should be able to clearly interpret business requirement specifications into detailed conversion logic and mappings; - Design, develop, unit test, and implement of conversion tools/utilities or routines including data quality validation processes; - Work with Production Support Team (including DBAs), Enterprise Data Warehouse Team and Enterprise Data Integrity Team (Business Owners of Data) to resolve data issues or implement enhancements across applications. Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring other team members.
