If you right-click on the image and select Properties, you can change
the rendering size. I do this all the time and it works for me.
To smallerize the image itself (use less bytes) you need to use an
external image editor.

sometimes I copy and paste web pages with the images for archival
purposes.
A couple of times, the images are huge. One of them is: (JPEG Image,
4852 × 2911 pixels) so when I copy and paste into Zim it's huge. is
there a way to shrink it to become the
