Re: [Zim-wiki] Zim presentation

2015-09-23 Thread Brendan Kidwell
Thanks for sharing, Jaap.

I think I mentioned this when I did a presentation a couple of years
ago, but I didn't make a point of saying "you should add it to the Zim
web site", but I'm saying that now.

Here are my presentation notes:

I think the video I mentioned may be lost by now. It wasn't very good
compared to my notes.

If you want to link to this topic from zim-wiki.org, I'm not sure which
URL is best to use -- make your own judgment.

This is exactly what I need, but I think it
would be useful an other menuitem, File --> Copy to Archive, this
menuitem only copy current page to the archive, and adds date stamp, but
it is not change links to the original links, and of course current page
stay the original location (and I can re-edit).

Thanks

Attached a quick
version of a plugin to automate archiving pages. What it does: 1/ Adds a
menu item "File --> Archive" - this menu item moves current page to the
archive and adds date stamp 2/ Adds a menu item "View --> Archived
versions" - shows a dialog with all archived versions of the current
page (if any)

Still to do: 1/ Change search dialog to hide archived
pages but add a button "show X results from archived pages" 2/ Change
auto-completion in "jump to" dialog to put archive lower in the list

Please let me know what you think
