Restarting the systems did the trick. I had set up the repository and all
but couldn't enable Version Control.

Merge as rev847

Made a change to the keybindings: made it default to D for
Duplicate and K for remove line (mnemonic "kill line") --
these happen to be the same as the bindings of the atom editor.

My guess is that git is not on your (Zim's) path. If you open a plain old
terminal, type git, and got no error (git is on path), and still cannot
enable Version Plugin, let us know!

I can't enable Version Control Plugin for Windows machines. What do I need
to install to enable it? Or are there problems with working with the
Version Plugin?
I have installed the Git Desktop Client for Windows. I have also installed
git alone (from git-scm). I can't enable the version control plugin (it
lists the dependencies as having failed).
I use GNU/Linux mostly, so any advice regarding Zim on Windows is welcome.

For me it seems, that the VCS plugin works in Zim (there is git log), but I
cannot see the logs from inside zim (Versions page is empty for the entire
notebook). How can I debug what's wrong? (where can I find logfiles?)
