[Zim-wiki] Zim project status
Zim is now a very important part in my workflow. The thing I miss the most is... my own contribution to the project. I have to do something about that and put my code where my words are. Enough thinking about contributing to an open source project. Time to really DO it. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~zim-wiki Post to : zim-wiki@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~zim-wiki More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
Re: [Zim-wiki] Zim project status
Jaap, I want to echo Marco's sentiment: You have done a great job with Zim. It's an incredibly useful tool with capabilities that I have yet to find in any other application. I appreciate your steady improvements over the years. Many applications that I have found promising in the past seem to get abandoned when the developer loses interest shortly after release. Your time investment over the long haul is appreciated. - Kurt On Tue, Oct 29, 2013 at 4:40 PM, Jaap Karssenberg jaap.karssenb...@gmail.com wrote: Dear all, Since it has been more than half a year since I made a release and there is a long list of unanswered bug reports and patches in my mail box, I would like to give a short update on the project status. That does not mean that the project is abandoned - for from it - although it may seem so if you look at the bug tracker. I still fully expect to produce new releases in the coming years. Re: [Zim-wiki] Zim project status
Dear Jaap, thanks for the update. Personally, Zim Wiki works like a charm as it is, so I won't be the one bothering for updates. Of course, I understand the importance of bugfixes that affect other users, but each one of us is supposed to have a life beside our side projects... so we'll understand if you take your time. :) In the meanwhile, thanks a lot again to you and to everyone who contributed to this fantastic piece of software.
