We lack the DBus interface (I will get around this eventually) but we have
remote calls (but not on windows at the moment..). This is exactly what the
firefox plugin uses.

Try calling "zim --plugin quicknote input=clipboard"  from the commandline
and you get the quicknote dialog with text from the clipboard. See the
manual for other parameters you can pass to the dialog:
