How will it impact keyboard navigation?
I usually use keyboard navigation to work with the most recent 2, 3 or 4
pages, with "Recent pages" in the pathbar (to avoid duplicates and have
more "historically nearby pages" at hand). Keyboard navigation then
doesn't match the display: sometimes I have t
Hmm... I think the a b a b scenario makes sense when we jump to different
parts of the pages. I don't know if that case is useful enough to justify
maintaining the code, though.

Now a *longer* breadcrumb trail would be very useful.
As would moving re-visited page buttons to the rightmost "most recent"
