[ZION] the Need for Speed
It's Wednesday night at 9 pm and the phone rings. (You already know what's coming, don't you?) The bishopric (of our newest ward in Marysville, Michigan) just asked us to give talks on Sunday. Oh, and for Cherie to teach the Gossip Doctrine class. The topic(s)? (Of the talks, not of the GD class!) Either something we learned in General Conference, one of the talks, or on the process of listening and learning from our prophets, seers, revelators, and just plain good ol' folks who spoke to us from that old tree stump that became a podium. So we're sifting through our notes (when we really should be asleep, since we have an early morning tomorrow) and thought we'd ask some of the most Gospel-Wise people we know what they might do after a similar call. To tell the truth, I think this request may be a bit of inspiration. I think I'm supposed to share something I'll hear from one of you. Thanks - in advance - to anyone who is willing to share. Cherie I each wish we could be with each of you in person, having a wonderful time talking about this super conference we experienced last weekend. *jeep! ~~Chet If ya thinks ya is right, ya deserfs credit - even if ya is wrong. RE: [ZION] the Need for Speed
Chet, If I were to vote, I would go for Elder Ballard's talk Sunday morning. What better a topic than coming to know our Father in Heaven? Been a long time since I heard the Lectures on Faith quoted. What a beautiful rendition of the encounter of Enoch with the Father. How canst thou weep? How is it? Just finished listening to it again. That is the talk that really reached out and touched my spirit. By the way, the transcripts of the conference talks should be available tomorrow... Re: [ZION] Ward and Stake Web Pages
I log in regularly (usually at least daily), and have done so for a few years. Our stake was one of the first 12 to be the guinea pigs. It is quite useful. Re: [ZION] Ward and Stake Web Pages
Nothing is on our page and another member of the stake is the ward administrator. I email her and asked why? I'm going to try and get it going. I home teach the Bishop and Stake President (and Scoutmaster to there boys) and will bring it up to them as nothing is on either. Thanks for the help. -- Lew At 08:48 PM 10/8/2003, you wrote: I log in regularly (usually at least daily), and have done so for a few years. Our stake was one of the first 12 to be the guinea pigs.
