Tom, Congrats. It is a great sign of humility and righteousness to accept such a calling. I agree with your thinking on callings. I was just sustained and set apart this past weekend's stake conference as the stake clerk. Some gave me a "condolences" handshake, to which I told them that I play in whatever sandbox I'm placed in. As with all callings, I told people that this one has advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include being with the stake presidency all the time. The disadvantages include being with the stake presidency all the time. ;-)
Anyway, I look at callings as an opportunity to grow and help others. Well, back to working on the 2003 stake calendar....
