My argument's being taken out of context. I mean no ill will against the Bush family, but was using someone else's "demonization" logic to show that it can lead to uncomfortable conclusions. I don't demonize Bush. But I don't demonize Saddam Hussein, either (I already have my opinions about both of them and don't need to have my emotions whipped up). Let me hasten to add that I don't think they're the equal of each other, morally speaking. I have far more respect for George Bush, even though I don't agree with his approach here. But then, as I've said from time to time, I think a) his talk of war is a feint to deal with domestic matters (probably the upcoming Senate elections); and b) therefore, by the time the elections have come and gone, he won't need his war, and it won't happen.
Just a prognostication, not a prophecy, so don't sue me if I'm wrong, but that's what I think will happen. As JWR is fond of saying, "my opinions are subject to change" Gary Smith wrote: > And I guess that means that GWBush is on your enemy list? > BTW, Bush wasn't the one who started the drug war.
