Actually, I hacked into the Pentagon foreign policy computer and found that the US originally planed to invade Kyrgyzstan, but Donald Rumsfeld couldn't spell it, and George Bush kept calling it kergystan so they gave up and picked Iraq. Easier to pronounce and somewhat easier to spell. Dan Quayle
