Hi, You don't mention in your post, but if this is a Solaris 8 or 9 branded zone, this is a bug in df.
Fixed by Solaris 8 patch 137749-01 which fixes bugID 6653043 I just hit this issue myself building Solaris 8 zones to run legacy Oracle databases. Patch fixes it fine.
