[zones-discuss] Solaris 8/9 Container performance
Hi, from performance point of view running an application in a Solaris 10 zone does not differ from running it in the global zone. What about Solaris 8/9 containers? Would a Solaris 8/9 container be less performant than a native S8/S9 installation? Thanks for your feedback! Peter Si quid novisti rectius istis, candidus imperti; si nil, his utere mecum. Re: [zones-discuss] Solaris 8/9 Container performance
I believe it may led to better performance, as the actual kernel (S10) is more efficient in many ways, while the overhead of adaption (ie. the brandZ code) is usually small. Re: [zones-discuss] can time be different in local zone?

Pl. advise me on this.. The time zone can be different; however you cannot independently set the time. We did a prototype of this, but have not productized it. Can you tell us anything about the usage scenario for this? -dp -- Daniel Price - Solaris Kernel Engineering - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - blogs.sun.com/dp ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org
