Yes, zones can be entities to be clustered, as well as the "things" inside zones... The 
only caveat is: you need to install cluster in the "global" zone, as only the global zone 
has access to the hardware...

So, simply put: Yes, that's doable!

Open HA Cluster requires OpenSolaris 2009.06 in the global zone, and needs to
be there. Form there on, you can cluster the zones, BUT you can NOT install
"kernel modules" inside a zone...

Same applies to SunCluster and Solaris...
