One requirement/use case for NFS in zones would be - setting up clearcase vob/view servers.
This will help consolidation of vob/view servers which may have to be in different clearcase regions. administered by different SAs, etc. And will also help with easy recovery/failover of these servers. IBM/Rational just announced support for ClearCase in non-global zones. But the vob/view server support is limited due to lack of NFS support...
