I have installed sun management center 361, but it doesn't seem to be that tool. I don't have the email of Mr Clingan. Any idea where I can get this tool ? I think that is the Solaris Container Manager http://www.sun.com/software/products/container_mgr/ It is supposed to be part of the SunMC product, according to the web site, so I am not sure why you don't have it. Re: [zones-discuss] Where is the nice tool.
Jerry/Marrianne The screen shot shown was from a demo developed by John Clingan as an internal Sun demo to show customers how resource management works with zones. It does not manage zones generically and specifically can only (as written ) handle three zones with the names demozone1, demozone2 and demozone2 It does not manage containers and as Jerry says this can be achieved using Solaris Container Manager which is an add on to Sun Management Center Terry Jerry Jelinek wrote: Marlanne DeLaSource wrote: Hi again, I'm still playing with zones... Solaris Container Manager AddOn is optional and must be selected during AddOn selection time while isntallating SunMC. If this was not done it can be installed later as well using the same installer. To check AddOn selections you can review /var/opt/SUNWsymon/install for the installation log files. The gif screenshot does not appear to be an SCM screen shot. SCM AddOn is part of the SunMC 361 image, therefore, if not already installed can be installed by rerunning the installer and only selecting SCM AddOn. hth Aniruddh Jerry ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org -- Aniruddh Dikhit Work #: 650 786 0037 email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org

Hi Brad, When you will have 1.7 for general availability ? As of now, http://mydataexchange.net/zonemgr/zonemgr-1.7.txt is not accessible You don't have permission to access /zonemgr/zonemgr-1.7.txt on this server. Please advise Regards Ihsan Brad Diggs wrote: If you like a CLI flavor of zones management, you might consider trying the Zone Manager (zonemgr). This script greatly simplifies automated zone creation and management. I recently updated the zonemgr to version 1.7 which includes a ton of new features. More info found here: http://mydataexchange.net/zonemgr Also, the Zone Manager has been contributed to the OpenSolaris community and will eventually be hosted as a project on the OpenSolaris.org site once all the legal review is completed.
