Language packs will be made available as we receive translations. (If
you have a few hours to kill, how about translating Zope into your

Reinstall zzLocale-0-0-3a, replace its __init__.py by the above file,
and restart the Zope process. This will fix the ZODB and make zzLocale
removable.

I believe
this is the Right Thing to Do and will include it in the release. But
since you put an emphasis on its being required, can you tell us what
evil things may happen if you don't close the connection? (Consuming
ressources?)
