[Zope] Limiting folder space

2000-07-25 Thread Brendon Grunewald

I want to use Zope to offer registered visitors to my site a little free
webspace on the site. Since I use hosting service that restricts and charges
me for space, I would like to restrict the size that their zope folders can
consume.

Hence:
Is there any simple way of limiting the amount of space that a folder is
allowed to consume including its subfolders? Alternatively, is there anyway
of checking how much space a folder with subfolders consumes?

Regards,
Brendon

[Zope] Weird Gadfly behaviour

2000-08-01 Thread Brendon Grunewald

Dear Zopista's,

I have a serious problem that is Gadfly database
related.

For some reason Zope thinks that the ZSQL methods
are folders and hence processes the information incorrectly and will also not
let me delete or access those methods.
I know that the data is still there. If I
create a new ZSQL method I can search and display the data. (There is hence a
work around by redoing everything.) But how do I fix the problem? Being able to
delete the methods after I have implemented the methods again and hence the
workaround would be a possible solution. Ideally there is a way to get Zope to
view the methods correctly.

If I try to access one of these methods, I get an
HTTP 404 Page not found error.
Here is the type of error I get if I try to delete
one of these objects...

[Zope] Mime types for email attachments

2000-08-30 Thread Brendon Grunewald

I am battling to find the information needed to attach word, excel, and pdf
documents to an email based on the input from a form.

I know that there is a howto that uses a python method, but I do not want to
use this option. Where can I get the necessary mime types and structure to
accomplish this?

This is what I have so far:
!--#sendmail mailhost="MailHost"--
To: dtml-var Email_address
From: WebForm [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: Web doc request
dtml-mime type=text/plain encode=7bit
Attached is the document you requested.

dtml-boundary type=application/dtml-var Doc_Type disposition=attachment
encode=quoted-printable
dtml-var dtml-var Requested_Document
/dtml-mime

!--#/sendmail--

Thanks
Brendon

[Zope] Re: File Attachments with Sendmail

2000-08-31 Thread Brendon Grunewald

Required_Doc is the variable set in the form. (see my previous email for
details onthe form).

Basically I want the following functionality:
1. Enter email address:
2. Select document of file to be emailed.
3. Click Send and Bang, off it goes!

 That looks okay...

  meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="5; url=!--#var Redirect_URL--"

 could you just use:
 dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect(Redirect_URL)"
somewhere on the page instead of the meta-refresh nastiness?

Attached is the document you requested: dtml-var Required_Doc

I do hope Required_Doc is a string or a function returning a strign and
 not the actual document ;-)

  dtml-boundary name="dtml-var Required_Doc"
type=application/octet-stream
^^^
Oops, DTML-inside-DTML error ;-)

...and a major falling down of the sendmail tag, this should be
expressionable, I don't know if there is somethign to solve this yet...

  disposition=attachment encode=base64

  dtml-var "Required_Doc.read()"
  /dtml-mime

 what is Required_Doc?

 cheers,

 Chris

Re: [Zope] Re: File Attachments with Sendmail

2000-09-04 Thread Brendon Grunewald

Dear Luis,

Dieter Mauer was kind enough to assist me with the answer to this question.
The normal Sendmail tag does not accept variables.

You need to install the MIME.py.patch. Once that is done you can include
variables.

Great answer, but I have one question:

 dtml-boundary name="dtml-var Required_Doc" type=application/octet-stream
 disposition=attachment encode=base64

does not expand the Required_Doc name, do anyone know why??

[Zope] Link counter

2000-12-03 Thread Brendon Grunewald

I have recently been asked by a partner site to
provide them with a count of how many times someone links from my site to
theirs. Since there are many ways they could hyperlink to that site (Squishdot
articles, normal links, banner ads etc), is there a way in zope to keep track or
to extract that info? OR am I stuck with the server logs?

[Zope] Freelance Programmers

2000-12-11 Thread Brendon Grunewald

Hi Zopistas,

I have some work that needs doing and can't make / find the time to do it,
hence am looking for some assistance. (The usual Xchange sites typically are
weak in Zope and Python skills.) I would ideally like to find a couple of
people that want to do this part time on a project by project basis. This is
and will not require full time work, and the size of projects will vary.
(e.g the first project will be to integrate several existing zope products
into a functional site, no layout and web design needed, just the back end
integration.)

Can you point me in the right direction?

Regards
Brendon

[Zope] How can a document know its own URL?

2001-01-28 Thread Brendon Grunewald

Can anyone tell me how to use DTML to get at the
URL for the document being displayed?

I want to display the URL of the
documentbeing displayed inside of the document being
displayed.
Something like:

b
You are now viewing the following URL:
dtml-var Some_DTML_var
/b

Similar to the dtml-var title_or_id var,
but for the whole URL not just the documents name or title...

I've tried looking at the mailing list archives,
but it is either not there or my search criteria are not as accurate as they
should...
