I have installed Zope on a Linux server (Slackware 7.0) apparently
without problems; but, when I start the server with the command:
./start, I have in continuous this message error:

does /usr/Zope-2.2.0a1-src/var/z2.pid exist? if not, touch z2.pid and try
again.

Check the permissions on the var directory.
