Well, yeah, but plone.openid uses Zope2 and Plone PAS while this is a "pure zope3" solution. However I'd like to see parts that are neither zmi-specific nor plone-specific to be refactored to a separate package. Thanks, though I should warn you that it's not at all ready to try out yet. I imagine it has broken imports and the like. I'll let you and the zope-dev list know when it's in a testable state.
