You should definately take a look at the work being done with Zope and XML. In a nutshell, DC and FourThought are making the Zope object tree DOM compliant. In addition, XSLT operations will be supported similar to the way DTML methods interact with Zope. Also XPath and XLink are being examined for thier integration with Zope and ZDOM.
