Andreas, fwiw I don't think that is a wiki, but http://zope.org/DevHome/Subversion is. I have a list of http://wiki.zope.org/WikisStillOnZopeOrg . Perhaps more of these, at least the non-member ones, should move either to sphinx/svn or to wiki.zope.org. Consolidation is good. I moved most of the relevant stuff into SVN this afternoon: http://svn.zope.org/developer_docs/trunk/source/ I've rewritten parts of the documentation, other stuff must be rechecked - - especially the stuff about becoming a contributor. I am definitely in favor for moving/maintaining such such in SVN. Sphinx allows us to structure the documentation the very well (especially hierarchically) and it provides a powerful pipeline for generating nice looking output (HTML/PDF). I think this is an important step we need more of in Zope docs-land. I think there is need for a volunteer or a dictator for docs.zope.org before we can get rid of the old stuff. Most of the tasks for docs.zope.org are low-hanging fruits: - the new.zope.org skins should be removed for docs.zope,org. Since all/most of the content will be auto-generated through Sphinx it should be sufficient to adjust the color scheme, putting a Zope logo on the page - bringing the documentation in the right structure. Right now we have in SVN: - zope2docs - zope3docs - developer_docs This could be the base for the final structure. Additional how-level hierachies could be: - tools (e.g. for Buildout) - packages (e.g. for the z3c. packages) - set up some mechanism for updating docs.zope.org regulary or manually (I think Jens is doing this manually right now) - after that: kick dev.zope.org, adjust the related links on the current zope.org front-page to their new location Andreas - -- ZOPYX Ltd.
