Not being familiar with the Z2 publisher I have no idea what issue is being addressed by the quoted patch, but since the current sprint seems to have succeeded in using the Z3 publisher in Z2, the patch may be unnecessary.
Either way, testbrowser (as well as all shared 2/3 code) should be kept as close together as possible, with a goal of being identical.
