Hi Tobias, you should be able to install a Zope3-server downloaded from zope.org with the well known commands:
./configure --prefix=<PATH TO SERVER> --with-python=<PATH TO PYTHON> make make install If you don't know the path to python. try: which python2.4 BTW: You should *NEVER* run Zope as root.
