Interesting. ZConfig is a folder which contains a file __init__.py that imports the loadSchema function. This is a perfectly valid way of doing it but personally I never use it because I think it's more confusing that import the files directly instead of using the __init__ magic. Perhaps you should file a bug report for python for the Solaris 8.
