Thanks Nicolae! The following does not seem to work: jsoniq version 1.0; variable $a := []; insert (1, 2) into $a at position 1; $a It might be because insert(1, 2) is parsed as a function call. Would it be possible to resolve the conflict using the lookahead (whether into is here or not)?
