THIS WEEK'S TIPS SUBMITTED BY SEARCHDATABASE.COM MEMBERS:

"Comparing the contents of two tables with SQL"
http://www.searchDatabase.com/tip/1,289483,sid13_gci770903,00.html
With a nod toward set theory, member Eli Leiba submits a SQL code
snippet that allows you to determine if the contents of two tables is
the same (assuming they have the same structure).

"How to resolve 'user or role already exists' errors"
http://www.searchDatabase.com/tip/1,289483,sid13_gci770923,00.html
Member Carla Cahill submitted this tip: "There are several instances
when you may encounter SQL Server errors indicating that a user or
role already exists. This is likely after restoring a database from
another server without a master DB. When you attempt to add a login
or to set permissions, you receive an error stating that the user or
role already exists. In many cases, you are unable to drop the login
or role without going into system tables. But wait! There is a better
and cleaner way, one that not too many people seem to know about..."

"Restricting particular IP addresses from Oracle databases"
http://www.searchDatabase.com/tip/1,289483,sid13_gci770955,00.html
Have you ever wanted to control whether or not particular IP
addresses can connect to your Oracle database? Sameer Wadhwa shows
you first how to allow, then how to restrict, single or multiple IP
addresses.

Share your knowledge: Submit your own tip. The best tipster this
month will win a Toshiba DVD player!
