LEAD STORY:
"New HomePage worm rated X"
A new worm, known to virus experts as VBS.VBSWG2, and dubbed
Homepage, has been reported at scores of companies. Experts say the
worm will not cause damage to the computer system that receives the
initial e-mail, but could bring down corporate mail servers by
sending out thousands of copies of itself. It is moving at a very
fast rate.

WEB LINKS OF THE DAY

[1] "The Transition From Programming in C++ to Notes"
Here's a first hand account by programmer Matthew Levy on the
challenges he faced when learning a new programming language. As
well all know, when we get comfortable in one language, a new and
improved version or language comes along, and we must learn anew.
Levy says "Domino offers an entire infrastructure, including a robust
security model, which has been tested repeatedly in large corporate
environments. There's a huge amount of power here, and I have to say,
in retrospect, it was worth the steep learning curve to get it."
Read here to learn how Levy conquered the challenge.

THE MISSING LINK
-------------------------------------------------
"Repo man thrives on tech troubles"
James Kevern is living proof that one man's loss is another man's
gain. Kevern is a repo man, and repo men are very busy men right now
in Silicon Valley. As the fortunes of IT companies continue to sag,
many high-tech workers who have recently found themselves out of work
are also finding themselves out of a fancy ride they can no longer
afford. And they get little sympathy from guys like James Kevern.
"High-tech people suck to deal with," Kevern said. "They act like
they're above it."
