[1] "Nextel users can now listen to e-mail"
Nextel Communications has teamed with wireless application provider,
Etrieve, to offer cell phone users the option of listening to their
corporate email, calendar and contact information from any
Internet-enabled Nextel phone. Users can securely breech their
corporate firewall from their cell phones to access information from
Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, the companies said. It costs
$24.95 per user per month.

[2] "Real virus piggybacks on e-mail hoax"
A hoax e-mail warning people that their personal computers might
contain a virus duped people into deleting the sulfnbk.exe file from
their hard drives last week. But now some computer users are
receiving another e-mail with "sulfnbk.exe" in the subject line, and
this time it may actually contain a harmful virus. Confusion about
which warnings are hoaxes and which are real could mount in the
future as virus creators become more sophisticated.

[3] "Web software"
Companies are offering new wizards, tools and services to build Web
sites. Here is a look at the capabilities and costs of a half dozen,
including the Lotus Domino R5 Server. "Domino R5 ups its integration
with Microsoft Office so you can work seamlessly and painlessly
between applications," says the reviewer.

[4] "Microsoft launches IM plan"
New instant-messaging technology in Microsoft's Windows XP operating
system is designed to give users an identity on the Internet,
potentially making applications such as video conference calls and
networked video games easier to set up. It also poses a challenge to
AOL Time Warner. The presence of video features in Windows Messenger
could force AOL to either open its IM service or fall far behind.

"Vatican: Online evangelization yes, confessions no"
Confession will never become a cyber-sacrament for Roman Catholics.
That's the definitive word from the Vatican. In a document about to
be released, the Church praises the Internet as a "wonderful
instrument for evangelization and pastoral service." But a top
Vatican official says the document will also explain that online
confessions are out of the question.
