LEAD STORY:
"Domino puts BMW in drivers seat"
BMW South Africa is using a Domino-based Web site for auctioning used
company cars to its dealers. BMW South replaced an inefficient system
with Vendue, a streamlined Domino-based Web auctioning system.
Connecting to an Oracle database on the back end, Vendue lets dealers
see detailed information about each car that they can use to help
them determine their bids. Vendue automatically calculates the bids
and notifies high bidders by e-mail. Vendue also has the ability to
display photos of used cars.

THE MISSING LINK
A look at an off-the-wall story off the Web
-------------------------------------------------
"Having a bad day? It's hilarious"

It's the 30-second MPEG that brings joy to crabby cubicle creatures
everywhere. For years, folks have received the clip as an e-mail
attachment, and gleefully watched the drama play out from what
appears to be an office surveillance camera. A portly worker slaps
his monitor in frustration. Moments later he slams his fist onto the
keyboard and eventually goes ballistic - smashing the helpless
monitor and sending it flying out of camera range. Since 1997,
viewers have wondered whether the clip was a Silicon Valley snuff
film or a hoax. Now we know for sure.
