Lotus is pushing hard into the European mobile market. It just
launched Mobile Notes there. But one analyst said Lotus faces big
challenges, including falling mobile demand from users. He said it is
questionable whether a market exists for Lotus because it is likely
that only hardcore Notes shops will want to use Mobile Notes.

Atabok digital-communications-security firm is introducing technology
that applies digital-rights-management rules to e-mail. The software
lets senders set expiration dates on messages and attachments, limit
the number of times messages can be viewed and prevent printing or
forwarding of those messages.

It has struck 25 corporations already. What's makes it unique is that

"Second tourist aims for space holiday"
A South African information technology billionaire intends to be the
second tourist in space. Appropriately named, Mark Shuttleworth, 27,
has undergone initial space training in Star City outside Moscow --
the heart of the Russian space program -- but had yet to sign a
contract. He said he was pretty excited, though the deal is not yet
clinched.  A number of others are vying for the same seat.
Shuttleworth made his money by starting an Internet security
technologies business with no financing, in his parents' garage.
