Remember all the "penguin droppings" Big Blue left earlier this year in its "Peace, Love and Linux" campaign? The company's ad firm sullied San Fran with corporate graffiti -- the Linux mascot, a peace sign and a heart spray-painted on streets and sidewalks across the city. Well, now it's time to pay the piper, or in this case, the street cleaner. IBM will pay the City by the Bay about $120,000 for using public property as its own personal (and free) billboard. City officials say some of those "ads" will never come out.
