LEAD STORY
DOMINO 5.0.9 BREAKS @DOCCHILDREN AND @DOCDESCENDANTS | News: Advisor
Administrators are reporting problems with the Quarterly Maintenance
Release (QMR) 5.0.9 of Lotus Notes, Designer, Administrator clients
and Domino server. It seems the November-issued release creates
errors with @DocChildren and @DocDescendants when running on Windows
NT.

DEVELOPER CREATES WIRELESS APP FOR LOTUS NOTES | Manila Bulletin
Filipino application developer Wireless Works is in the process of
integrating its mobile information gateway with Notes to make Lotus
applications available wirelessly. The goal is to allow enterprises
to adapt and deliver content to wireless devices without rewriting or
developing new software.

CORE IBM PRODUCTS GET ON BOARD WITH J2EE 1.3 | InfoWorld
IBM's Websphere application server and DB2 database software have
gained certification for the J2EE 1.3 standard. The standard enables
various J2EE components, including EJBs (Enterprise Java Beans) and
servlets, to communicate with each other asynchronously. That should
give developers a strong platform for developing Web services.

PEER TO PEER: AS THE REVOLUTION RECEDES | CNET
The peer-to-peer hoopla has died down a bit, but companies are still
hard at work looking into ways to link individual PCs for information
sharing without having to use servers.

THE MISSING LINK | Century-old British census goes online

It's not exactly the latest information, but it's cool anyway. The
British Public Records Office has put the 1901 census for England and
Wales online. Some pretty legendary folks are among the 32 million
countees -- Charlie Chaplin, Florence Nightingale and J.R.R Tolkien
to name three. It also lists 90,000 citizens described at the time as
"lunatics, imbeciles and feeble-minded people" -- not the kind of
language you'd see these days! The site, at www.census.pro.gov.uk,
took two years to finish and should be a site to behold for
historians and genealogy buffs.
