IBM has already taken out one ebXML patent and has another one pending, but informed Web services standards body OASIS that it will allow the key specification to be used free of charge. A rare Apple I computer has fallen from the tree and is going on the auction block. A long time ago in a garage far, far away, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs handcrafted some 200 of the no-frills machines. Apple I turned into the core of Apple Computer and essentially helped launch the company and the PC revolution. There are only about 50 of these historic machines in existence today, so hardcore Apple fans will have to do more than bob to get this one. It's expected to go for $15,000 to $20,000.
