CONTROLLING POP3 MAIL | By David Hoff

If you are an active mail user, and you want to use a Palm or Win CE
device to check your Notes/Domino mail via POP, you will notice that
there are problems getting a large number of messages over limited
bandwidth. Typically, you just want the last few days of mail
anyways, but there are no POP3 settings that permit this. As a
workaround, you can modify the ($POP3) view in your mail file so that
it only shows mail from the last few days. Open your mail file in
Domino Designer (or the mail template if you want everyone to get the
change) and change the view selection formula to the code listed
below. This code is for the last 3 days of mail.

ADMINISTRATOR DISCUSSION FORUM | SearchDomino

One SearchDomino user writes, "Here is a rather unique situation that
I've not run into before. We have recently joined a domain in
anticipation of migrating all of our Exchange users over to Notes.
The Notes server is setup and registered and we have a WAN connection
to the main mail routing server in Europe. Here is the problem: all
mail goes out using SMTP regardless of what settings we try to use in
out configuration document. I am at a loss as to what to try
next...any input would be very much appreciated."
