Notes.net and the Lotus Developer Network into a single site. Lotus

IBM EXPECTED TO CUT JOBS | InformationWeek
The latest reports suggest that IBM is preparing to lay off up to 3%
of its workforce, which could be more than 9,000 employees worldwide.
One analyst suggested that areas where cuts are likely to be made are
those with overlapping technology, such as Lotus and WebSphere.

THE MISSING LINK | "Star Wars" clones appear on Net

At least "Spider-Man" was already in theaters when pirates started
plundering it from the high seas of cinema. The next installment of
"Star Wars" isn't even out yet, and bootleggers have already forced
it onto the Web. Yep, "Attack of the Clones" has been attacked by a
clone -- a copy of the Lucas flick is already available for download
on Usenet, and the quality isn't half bad! Evidently someone armed
with a camcorder got into a screening. The Motion Picture Association
of America is madder than an irregular Jawa and is involved in this
case now. "Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones" opens
nationwide Thursday for aboveboard viewing.
