Let's face it. We've all made mistakes in our jobs, some more painful than others. But hopefully once a mistake is made, it's less likely to happen again. Many of the user tips posted on SearchDomino are actually "accidental" learning lessons. You try to fix something, actually make it worse, but then come up with a solution that's better than you initially planned.
Or perhaps you never solved the problem. Are you over it? I thought it might be fun to share some "Bloopers" you've experienced or know of. If you've made or repaired a big Domino development or administration mistake (and dare to admit to it), send it along, and we'll start posting them in our Bloopers section and in our newsletters. Be sure to let us know if you'd like us to post your real name or use an anonymous name. (We certainly understand if you're not quite ready to face up to it!)

    Happy tales!

Dear Mathew, I am thinking about getting CLP certified, but I am wondering, will it be worth it three to five years down the road? IBM doesn't seem to be pushing Dominos and Notes and that's why I am wondering will it be around.

Dear Debbie, We are updating our R4.6 server to R5.0.8 and must maintain R4 mail databases working in the R5 server. The problem we're having is that the SMTP addressing does not respond to Global Domain document settings and Configuration document settings.
