LOTUS REMOVES OLD INCREMENTAL INSTALLERS | e-Pro Magazine
Thanks to Lotus' download consolidation last spring, only the most
recent versions of Notes and Domino are available for download as
incremental installers. Lotus says it's trying to offer upgrades
more efficiently, not force customers to upgrade.

JPEG VIRUS SURFACES; KLEZ ENDURES | SearchSecurity
June was a relatively quiet month in terms of damaging malicious
code, but worms like Perrun that could potentially run code from a
JPEG file were introduced as proof-of-concept pieces. Yaha and
Frethem also surfaced while Nimda, Badtrans and Sircam continue to
populate the lists of most-prevalent viruses.

THE MISSING LINK | Chinese vendors tap niche for novel cell phones

China -- the most populous nation in the world and the pickiest
people on earth when it comes to cell phones. About five million of
them are sold every month in China, but they aren't the kinds that
appeal to the rest of the world. Big firms like Ericsson, Motorola,
Nokia and Siemens have found it tough to make a connection with the
finicky and fashion-conscious Chinese, many of whom like to mix
whimsy with their wireless. Small vendors are popping up all over
the place and catering to those tastes. One of them sells a cell
phone wrapped in fish skin (maybe it's waterproof). Another vendor
sells a handset that's covered in diamonds. And yet another sells a
phone that cuts a rug when it rings.
