OPEN SOURCE REPLACEMENT FOR JAVA TO MISS DOMINO 6 | Network World
Users thought Lotus would include an open source replacement for Java
technology in Domino 6. Yet, it won't be done in time. Lotus will
appease angry users by combining Domino and the WebSphere Application
Server to replace the Java tools it pulled.

PricewaterhouseCoopers' partners have approved the sale of its
consulting division to IBM. All that's needed now is the green light
from the European Commission, which has a deadline of Sept. 23 to

THE MISSING LINK | "Dot-com" no longer a "death knell"

Go ahead -- say "dot-com." It's okay! The "dot-com" may be returning
to respectability. One analyst says "dot-com," which for a couple of
years now has been a scourge among suffixes, isn't as doused in
disses as it used to be. That's mainly because companies are more
careful how they use the term. These days firms aren't so hip to hop
on the bandwagon; they add "dot-com" where they see fit and not just
to be trendy and cool.
