A California teenager did something similar, hacking into the high school computer and trimming his GPA. Reid Ellison (no relation to Larry as far as we know) got into the system and lowered his average from a 4.0 to a 1.9. You would think a kid would want to bump up his or her grades, but when you have straight As you can only go down. Reid is not in trouble. School administrators actually assumed his hacking was lacking and challenged him to crack the system. After he proved his skills, he made sure school officials -- now busy shoring up the system -- restored his pristine GPA.
