LEAD STORY

REVIEW: TITANIUM'S GOOD, BUT STICK WITH DOMINO | eWEEK

Microsoft Exchange Titanium Beta 2 doesn't require the drastic
changes that Exchange 2000 mandated and includes several security and
usability enhancements. Yet, an eWEEK Labs review found it does not
feature any compelling improvements that would force Domino shops to
give it a second look.

YAHA WORM NO LONGER A BUSINESS THREAT | SearchSecurity.com
Security experts have downgraded the threat to enterprises posed by
the Yaha.K worm. Most companies block the attachment file types Yaha
is using to spread, curtailing its spread. Experts say Yaha is
finding success among home users who have not updated their antivirus
software.

CANADIAN COMPANY COULD BEAT OUT LOTUS AND MICROSOFT | Miami Herald
Lotus and Microsoft usually square off for messaging customers, but a
Canadian company may trump them both and land a key contract with a
Florida school district. Broward County schools are leaning toward
Centrinity to serve the more than 30,000 teachers, principals and
administrators in the system.

THE MISSING LINK | The Net turns 20, or so

When you welcomed 2003 last week, did you remember to wish a happy
birthday to the Internet? We didn't either. The Net arguably turned
20 on New Year's Day. Its history dates back to when 400 computers
hooked up to the old ARPANET switched over to TCP/IP, the protocol
that essentially whelped the Web. But figuring out the Net's true age
is about as tough as figuring out Zsa Zsa Gabor's! Some contend that
the Net is really 33 years old, having been begotten at UCLA when two
computers linked by a 15-foot cable exchanged data. How about an
average? Let's say it's 26 and a half.
