Notes Domino 6 Application Development 2 prepares students for the second of three required exams to be certified as an IBM Certified Application Developer in Notes Domino 6. The course covers Domino's event-oriented architecture for databases, views and forms, working with lists to build a dynamic table, and using integrated tools to develop workflow applications for routing documents and e-mail. Facet Workplace Solutions allows companies to enhance password security, charge back and report costs to departments and employees, monitor workplace activity, and plan for server capacity and load balancing. The product has two modules, Facet Workplace Analyzer and Facet Workplace Password Security. Both work as a companion to Pistolstar's Facet IM Solutions for IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing software package. http://www.pistolstar.com/ SHIREBURN OFFERS INTEGRA FOR NOTES UPGRADE | Shireburn Software Shireburn Software, a Malta-based provider of Notes application products, announced Integra for Notes 4.0, an upgrade to its Notes reporting and import/export tool. Integra for Notes 4.0 allows the flexible conversion of Notes data into high fidelity reports using the rich data presentation features of Word, Excel and PDF. It also allows generated reports to be automatically written back to a Notes database. The tool can be run from a Microsoft browser or a Notes 5.x or 6.x client, or it can be automatically run using Integra's scheduled reporting features. A single server license (2 processors) including first-year maintenance costs $3,300. http://www.integra4notes.com/ MACH 5 ENTERPRISES UNVEILS MACH5 MAILER 4.0 | Mach 5 Enterprises Fort Myers, Fla.-based Mach 5 Enterprises released Mach5 Mailer 4.0, which includes PopMonger 2, a utility program for fully scriptable inbound message handling. Mach5 Mailer 4.0 includes new HTML import, list management, templates and advanced scheduling features, which include the ability for users to script whether Mailer 4.0 will send HTML, plain text or both formats to each recipient separately. Version 4.0 also includes a custom header control and an improved scheduler, which can now run tasks once per day at a fixed time. Upgrades to PopMonger 2 have also been made. The new version eases document creation and distribution, Notes reporting and data transfer. It also has a built-in PDF converter that lets users bind Office documents and spreadsheets with Notes databases, report and print with Office and use Excel to compound reports from several Notes databases. A five-user pack costs $750, and there are discounts on volume purchases. A 30% introductory discount will be given until the end of December 2003. It allows Notes users to bypass the Internet when accessing company mail or corporate data via the Web and protects usernames and passwords on the Internet. Touchtone Corp., a Costa Mesa, Calif.-headquartered developer of iSeries software, has added Notes integration in the latest version of Wintouch eCRM. Now Wintouch users can save incoming and outgoing Lotus Notes e-mail in the Wintouch DB2 database. E-mail attachments are saved in an IFS folder and can be viewed from the Wintouch Activity Log. Other enhancements include the drag-and-drop creation of Web forms, PDA access of Web forms and customizable portal capabilities. http://www.wintouch.com/ CRM UPDATE FEATURES ADD NOTES INTEGRATION | ACCPAC International Inc. ACCPAC International Inc., the Pleasanton, Calif.-based subsidiary of Computer Associates International Inc., has upgraded its CRM application to include closer ties with Notes and Outlook. ACCPAC CRM Version 5.6 now lets users access their entire CRM system from within Outlook, synchronize the CRM data with Notes calendars and synch up CRM information to pocket devices that support Notes.
