What a year it's been. IBM Lotus started the year with the Next Generation, RAD and a new general manager for Lotus. But it didn't stop there -- it continued with upgrades, new products and a few acquisitions. It's been a busy year for IBM Lotus, and next year will get a lot busier.
Last week IBM Lotus acquired another content management software company and announced yet another industry-specific version of its J2EE-based Lotus Workplace line. IBM has come through with its promises this year, with new products delivered on time and in good working order. With each new
delivery came the promise that Domino isn't going away, as well as tools to help you easily transition to WebSphere and Workplace.
This is all good news. That is, if IBM Lotus keeps its focus on its current customers and listens to their needs. What are your needs? What have you done in the past year? Did you have the tools, resources and support to do your job?
Now is the time to assess the past year and plan for next year. Set some goals. Be realistic. Then let us know what they are. And if you've got any wishes, comments or complaints, by all means speak up. We want your voice to be heard and your wishes to come true.
Happy holidays to all of you, and bring on the New Year!
-- Joyce
