LEAD STORY
SCO revises suit; seeks more damages  (CNET)
SCO is now asking the courts to give it $5 billion in damages against IBM. Its amended lawsuit drops earlier allegations that IBM had misappropriated SCO trade secrets through its Linux development efforts. It now also states that IBM violated SCO copyrights by continuing to distribute Unix and Unix-derived products, presumably including Linux, after SCO terminated IBM's Linux license.

NEWS
Will Gates' e-mail postage idea stamp out spam? (SearchWin2000.com)
A kooky e-mail scam solves the spam menace. As ridiculous (and ironic) as that sounds, it's similar to an idea that Bill Gates floated recently.

NEWS
Job creation not impacting IT (InformationWeek)
Figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that even though the number of jobs is growing across the U.S., high-tech jobs are still declining. Since peaking at 1.35 million positions in March 2001, the computer-systems development category has lost 245,000 jobs, an 18.2% decline.

Sound Off forum
Administrators have their own SearchDomino.com forum to hash out admin issues. Developers have theirs. But where can you go when you just want to vent or bring up non-technical issues? Our Sound Off forum, of course! How do you feel about WebSphere? What did you think of Lotusphere '04? How's the job market for Domino people? Why is Domino better than Exchange? Take a moment to vent, praise, analyze or ask others' opinions. It's free, and it's informative (and sometimes entertaining.) Sound off!

THE MISSING LINK
Tux taking off in pop culture

When it comes to one penguin, many geeks are letting their love floe. Tux may have surpassed Tennessee Tuxedo as the most popular penguin on the planet.
