So much for it being a man's world -- unless maybe you're in IT. A nonprofit group that studies women in business found that companies with female higher-ups perform better than those with only men in charge. But in IT, the link between female executives and company success isn't as strong. Also, in IT, the number of women in top management positions is below the overall average.
